One of the world's largest shopping engagement platforms was having trouble with its translation process. Each department used its own translation tools, which led to confusion and wasted time whenever something needed to be translated or updated, also causing synchronization issues and inefficient content management.

By partnering with Intertec, they created a single centralized translation service. It uses Amazon Translate underneath, but also includes special steps before and after each translation to make sure everything fits their brand’s style and needs. Now, instead of juggling multiple tools, everyone in the company uses the same service. This has sped up their localization efforts and given customers a more consistent and reliable experience on every platform.

Solution

Intertec built one centralized translation service on top of Amazon Translate, bringing all of the company’s localization efforts under one roof. This service includes special steps before and after each translation (pre- and post-processing) to make sure the final output meets the company’s specific needs.

  • Scalable AWS infrastructure The solution takes advantage of Amazon Translate, VPC, EC2, auto scaling, and load balancing to handle large numbers of translation requests without any downtime.  
  • Continuous integration and delivery By using CodePipeline and CodeBuild, the company can automatically deploy updates, cutting down on manual work and speeding up the release of new features.
