Situation
The company was grappling with a fragmented data landscape: project data sat in Immopac’s Scopes and CAPEX modules, energy and sustainability figures arrived in sprawling Excel files from third-party vendors, and Access databases on SharePoint tracked parking-garage projects. About 90 percent of all data gathering was still manual - an approach that grew slower, more error-prone, and virtually unmanageable as the portfolio expanded. With twelve different data formats in play, assembling clean, reliable datasets became a constant struggle.
At the same time, rising regulatory pressure demanded consistent reporting on environmental metrics such as energy, water, and CO₂. Project managers and controlling teams also lacked the real-time insight they needed to monitor CAPEX, energy consumption, and overall portfolio health through live dashboards. Against this backdrop, the overarching goal was clear: automate every step from extraction to visualization so teams could access trustworthy, up-to-date insights whenever they need them.
